About: Kevin Sjuts is an award-winning sportscaster that has been working at 10/11 News for more than a decade. Kevin joined the 10/11 NOW sports team in July 2005 as the Weekend Sports Anchor and soon earned the title of Sports Director. Kevin graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During his time at 10/11, Kevin has won numerous awards including NSSA Nebraska Sportscaster of the Year in 2013 and 2017. He's also been recognized by the Associated Press and Nebraska Broadcasters Association, in which he's received the Gold Award for Best Sportscast in the state three times. In addition to his sportscasting, Kevin has also received multiple first-place honors for sports reporting, live play-by-play, and producing various 30-minute sports programs while at 10/11. He helped create the state's only 30-minute high school sports show, PrepZone Weekly, in 2010. Away from work, Kevin enjoys attending sporting events at all levels - from professional to college to high school. He also spends his spare time with his family. Kevin is married to former Nebraska volleyball player Michelle Lynch. The two have three children: Bella, Paxon and Kale and a dog named Jangles.
