About: WATE 6 Sports Director Reece Van Haaften has lived a life on the road. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, but could never sit still. He inevitably moved eight times, including stops in Kansas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Tennessee. The movement gave him the opportunity to discover new loves. His passion for sports started on the baseball diamond. Reece and his dad go on an annual baseball trip. He’s attended an MLB game in 32 different parks, including his favorite Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland.
